Nurs­ery toasts OF­STED thumbs up

RADMOOR Day Nurs­ery and the hol­i­day club at Lough­bor­ough Col­lege are cel­e­brat­ing the latest OF­STED re­port, after they scored ‘Good’ in ev­ery cat­e­gory.

The ed­u­ca­tion watch­dog judged safety at the nurs­ery and club to be ef­fec­tively pro­moted found chil­dren to “make good progress and gain skills that help them with their fu­ture learn­ing and start­ing school” - in­clud­ing chil­dren with spe­cial ed­u­ca­tional needs and/or dis­abil­i­ties and those who speak English as a sec­ond lan­guage.

They were also found to have “ex­cit­ing and stim­u­lat­ing ac­tiv­i­ties” of­fered by its “ex­tremely ef­fec­tive” staff and de­scribed its part­ner­ship with par­ents as “strong”.

Nurs­ery man­ager Veron­ica Sav­ill said: “We are de­lighted with the out­come of our in­spec­tion. The re­port is a real tes­ta­ment to ev­ery one of our staff in the nurs­ery and the hol­i­day club and is a fan­tas­tic boost for us and for all the par­ents of our chil­dren as we build to­wards the ex­cit­ing launch of our new fa­cil­i­ties in 2018.”
