Signed by Clough
LOUGHBOROUGH striker Richie Barker was one of the first signings that Brian Clough made as he became manager at Derby County.
Barker, who lived at Whetland Drive in Loughborough had previously played for Burton Albion and Loughborough United.
A fee in the region of £2,500 was said to have been paid to Burton Albion for Barker who had a reputation as a goal-scoring centre forward at his previous clubs.
