£3,200 luxury houses

TWENTY eight “luxury” houses were proposed to be built in Shepshed.

The houses were to cater for people in the ‘higher income bracket’ and the full cost of the houses would be £3,200 with rent set at £4 13s a week.

The contractor already had valid planning permission on the land and apart from being modern in every respect they would be fitted out with gas fired ducted warm air, 15 power points, stainless steel sink units and working tops made from formica among many other amenities.
