Greasepaint to perform Sister Act at the Town Hall

GREASEPAINT Productions is to take to the stage in a few weeks time with the feel-good musical Sister Act.

Based on the smash hit movie starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, the musical, which will be at Loughborough Town Hall from October 24-28, promises to have audiences jumping to their feet.

It features original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Newsies). Plus dazzling dance routines and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco. Dawne B Stewart has been welcomed back to Greasepaint and is taking the role of Deloris. Dawne last appeared with the group in 2009 as Sarah in the iconic production Ragtime.

And has since worked with Greasepaint’s sister company, P-Promotions, performing as a female lead in Smokey Joe’s Cafe.
