‘Rock’ challenge

THIS Saturday (October 14) sees the return of ‘The Rock’ at Charnwood Forest Golf Club, the annual 36 hole scratch competition open to amateur players with handicaps of 5 and under.

The competition has been running since 1969 at Leicestershire’s oldest and only nine hole course - this year there are 39 leading players taking part from all over the Midlands with several previous winners entered, including last year’s champion, George Raitt of Whetstone golf club

Spectators and visitors are welcome.
