Bad start for Town 2nd XI

-

LOUGHBOROUGH TOWN MENS 2XI 0 UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM 2XI 9 LOUGHBOROUGH Town welcomed Nottingham University for the opening game of the 2017/18 season and started brightly for the first few minutes, with some good link up play from the half backs and inside forwards.

However, it didn’t take long for Nottingham to get on the score sheet with a smartly taken reverse beating Vish Dhutia in goal.

After this the floodgates began to open.

Some poor defending and lack of urgency from Town coupled with some very impressive play from Nottingham made it a tough day at the office.

Even with Nottingham playing the last 10 minutes without a keeper, Town failed to grab any consolations to take from the game with the final score standing 9-0 to the away side.

Town will need to put this week behind them and move onto next week’s trip to Birmingham to take on Harborne, which needs to be a improved display from the team.
