THERE were seven maximums scored in the game between last season’s top two Bottom Railway BA and the Boat House Tap Tappers in Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League last week. Andy Hibbert and Chris Peat hit two and Mark Smith one for the ‘Railway’, and Lyndon Hextall and Kelly Walsh replied with maximums for the ‘ Tap tappers’, in the game that the ‘Railway’ won 7-2. Bottom Railway BA now lead the division by a point from the Blue Ball Lions who whitewashe­d the Three Nuns Left Footers 9-0. Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang like the leaders remain unbeaten after their 6-3 win against the Royal Oak Shooters, with ‘gang’ members Mark Wagg and Dave Cox both hitting maximums, and Royal Oak DP narrowly beat the Royal Oak Bluemoon Foxes in the first of several local derby’s that will be played in the division this season. In Wanty’s Division Two Black Swan Gatecrashe­rs beat the Unicorn AW 5-4 to open up an eight point lead at the top of the division after only three games. Jake Selby hit a maximum for the Three Crowns Ghostbuste­rs as they beat the Spot On Lads 5-4, and Tap and Mallet JB beat the Arena Gladiators. In S H Cox Division Three, Jay Wood hit a maximum for the leaders Three Nuns Exiles as they beat the Black Swan JS 5-4. The Peacock Rockers are up to second place after an excellent 8-1 win against Tap and Mallet CD, with ‘Rocker’ Sam Worthingto­n hitting a maximum and 113 finish on the way, and the Three Nuns Albion beat the Twelve Degrees 26er’s thanks in part to a 108 bull finish by league chairman Danny Sharpe. In Generous Briton Division Four the top two sides both lost 5-4, Tap and Clapper losing to the Peacock Feathers who move up to third as a result, and the Dewdrop Blues to the Plough B. In Navigation Division Five the Crown Jewels Barrow are setting the early pace and they lead the division after beating arch rivals Plough Ernie’s 5-4. The Bottom Railway Leftovers are second after beating Blue Ball B 5-4 and Tap and Clapper Rojo’s third after a similar result against the Windmill Luffs. Finally in Jim Kidger Division Six leaders LSU Darts @ Arena remain unbeaten after their 6-3 win against the Royal Oak Oakers and Blue Ball MS move up to second place after a good 7-2 win against the Three Nuns Bad Habits.
