First league defeat of season for table leaders Wymeswold

EAST Goscote Plumbers Premier leaders Wymeswold FC suffered their first league defeat of the season going down 2-1 away at Falcons FC, Ross Locker and Jack Richardson for the Falcons, Jack Hesketh for Wymeswold. Greenhill YC closed the gap to one point with a game in hand as they beat Rothley Imperial 7-1, Tyler Dunlop (2), Billy Snaith (2), Karl Harratt, Grant Brown and an own goal for Greenhill, Joe Butcher-Smith replying for Rothley. East Leake FC dropped two points as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Mountsorre­l Amateurs, Sam Squire and Ross Harrison for the Ammies, Matt Carver and an own goal for East Leake. Leaders Market Bosworth won 7-4 at home against Thringston­e MW Reserves, Ben Gascoigne (3), Duran Cummins (2), Connor Goddard and Dan Morris for Bosworth, Dale Wight (3) and Myles Botfield for Thringston­e. Wymeswold FC Reserves beat Greenhill YC Reserves 4-1, Luke Ratcliffe, Ellis Simon, Callum Payne and Michael Moore for Wymeswold, Gage Braban replying for Greenhill Reserves.
