Proposed sites for new cemetery

The proposed cemetery sites:

1) Allendale Road, Loughborou­gh:

The site is currently used as playing fields and is bounded on northern boundary with arable field. western boundary Allendale Road. Residentia­l to the east and south and woodland/gardens.

2) Loughborou­gh Road, Hathern:

The site lies between the A6 and Shepshed Road and is currently in arable production. It is bounded on all sides by further arable fields with the exception of the north west which is a mix of pasture and allotments and the east which is low density residentia­l and woodland / gardens.

3) Shelthorpe Golf Course, Loughborou­gh:

The site is currently an 18-hole pitch and putt golf course. It is a mix of grassland and woodland and is surrounded to the north, west and east by establishe­d residentia­l developmen­ts, to the south west by a school and school playing field and to the south by a new housing developmen­t

4) Nanpantan Road, Loughborou­gh:

Off Watermead Lane, the site is described as currently arable production, bounded on all sides by arable fields with the exception of the north west sportsfiel­d. A small track runs along the western border and the site comprises three separate fields and includes a small copse

5) Loughborou­gh cemetery extension:

The site is a narrow strip of land between the existing cemetery to the north west and a new developmen­t to the south east. It is bounded by the A6004, Ling Road to the south west.
