ST PETER’S PARISH CHURCH. All are warmly invited on the morning of Sunday, December 10 ( The Second Sunday in Advent) to the Parish Church of St Peter (Market Place) Mountsorrel for a traditional Lenten celebration of Parish Communion (with Lenten Hymns) at 10am.

The celebrant will be the parish priest and coffee/tea will follow the Eucharist in the Antill Vestry.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON. Organized by the parish council, veryone is invited to the new Memorial Centre on Leicester Road on Tuesday, December 12, from 5.30pm, for the village Christmas event.

Christmas lights to be switched on at 6.15pm by the Mayor of Charnwood, Coun Pauline Ranson.

Those taking part in the event include: The Ratby Co-operative Band, Local Clergy, Christchurch & St Peters Primary School Choir. There will also be 30 festive food, drink and gift stalls. Light refreshments will be available. Bar will be open
