Fascinating facts of town’s eating habits are revealed
ON-DEMAND food delivery service Loughborough Deliveroo has revealed some fascinating facts about townsfolk’s eating habits.
New data from Deliveroo reveals Saturday at 7.46pm is the most popular time for Loughborough locals to order Deliveroo. Further data has shown locals love Mexican food the most, followed by Italian and American.
The most popular dishes are Burrito from Plan Burrito; Queen Margherita pizza from Peter Pizzeria; Old Classic Burger from Fernandez Grillhouse; Mighty Bucket for One from KFC; and Beef Brisket from The Hog Stop.
Since its launch in the town in 2016, more than 20 restaurants have signed up to the platform. Deliveroo has created work for more than 100 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders who deliver the food which is cooked fresh to order and delivered within 30 minutes. Deliveroo supports local Loughborough businesses, with 75 per cent percent of its restaurant partners being local independent restaurants, which it claims creates new revenue streams for homegrown culinary talent.
A spokesperson for Deliveroo said: “After delivering meals for the last year to hungry residents in Loughborough we’ve learnt a thing or two about what locals like to eat.
“We’re proud to support so many of the very best local restaurants in the town alongside national favourites too. It’s been truly amazing to hear stories about how local restau- rants have been able to expand their businesses to other areas because of the additional revenue Deliveroo is generating for them.
“We will continue to provide the best service possible for our Loughborough customers, riders and restaurant partners as we grow.”
The restaurant manager at Fernandez said: “Deliveroo has been great as it has attracted a different type of clientele and has taken the pressure off of the business by delivering the food.”
