Flower power...

-

LOUGHBOROUGH Flower Lovers’ Club’s open meeting in November featured the popular floral artist Nigel Whyles, who delighted the large audience with his superb arrangements.

The event attracted many visitors, the huge tombola was very popular, and record numbers of raffle tickets were sold, the prizes being Nigel’s displays.

Following a most enjoyable and well attended Christmas party last month, the club is commencing its 2018 programme on Thursday, January 18, with a demonstration by Jayne Edmonds, entitled ‘It’s a Kind of Magic’.

Jayne has been a member of NAFAS since 1997. She enjoys travelling to give workshops and demonstrations all over the UK.

She is a Teacher, Demonstrator and Chairman of Centrix Contemporary Design Group in the South Midlands Area.

Jayne has always been an artist and many of her designs continue to take their inspiration from decorative modern art. She enjoys competitions and is renowned for her use of colour.

Members are reminded that subscriptions will be collected at this meeting.

Meetings are held at Our Lady’s Convent School, Gray Street, Loughborough LE11 2DZ from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

There is easy parking within the school grounds, and new members and visitors can be assured of a very warm welcome.

There is no audience participation, other than to just sit back and enjoy the beautiful flower arrangements produced by an experienced speaker.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are available.
