Bottom Railway BA beat Blue Ball Lions in Division One top of the table battle

ANDY Hibbert hit his eighth maximum of the season as his Bottom Railway BA side beat the Blue Ball Lions 5-4 in the top of the table clash of Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborough and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League last week.

Andy, joint winner of the most maximums of the season trophy for division one last season, now leads the field this season from Spot On MP’s Steve Hopkins who has seven. Spot On MP beat the Royal Oak DP 5-4, and they are now second with the ‘Lions ‘ in joint third place with the Royal Oak Shooters, who beat the Three Nuns Left Footers 6-3. The Royal Oak Bluemoon Foxes won their second game in the top flight with a close 5-4 win away to Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang.

In Wanty’s Division Two the Black Swan Gatecrashers top the division after their 7-2 win against the Arena Gladiators but Tap and Mallet JB are just two points adrift with a game in hand.

In S H Cox Division Three Sam Worthington leads in the race for the most maximums of the season for divisions two to six after he hit his fifth maximum of the season for the Peacock Rockers as they lost 5-4 to a resurgent Black Swan JS. Ryan Page is second after he hit his fourth maximum for the Three Nuns Reds in their 5-4 win against the Three Nuns Exiles who are joint leaders with the ‘Rockers’.

In Generous Briton Division Four leaders Tap and Clapper beat Plough B 6-3 and are now seven points clear of the Richmond Jukeboxers who won 6-3 away to the Dewdrop Blues. The Boat Black Pearls beat OEG Dad’s Army in a close bottom of the table clash.

In Navigation Division Five the Bottom Railway Leftovers beat the Windmill Wild Hearts 5-4 and lead the division by four points from the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s who beat the Plough Ernie’s 6-3.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Six, leaders White Hart Stags were beaten for only the second time this season as Top Railway One Bad Apple beat them 5-4. The result means that Blue Ball MS are now only five points behind the leaders with a game in hand after their 5-4 win against the Crown KM. The full results for Thursday, January 11
