Monday launch for health initiative

THE TEAM at LeicesterShire & Rutland Sport is set to launch a new campaign aimed at getting folk to make better lifestyle choices to improve their health.

The ‘ One You’ campaign will run from January 22-28 and will include a series of roadshows throughout the county offering support and interactive opportunities including health checks, blood pressure and body mass index measurements.

As part of the campaign, people can take the free Public Health England ‘How Are You?’ Quiz to get a personalised health score and help start the journey to a healthier life.

Events in Loughborough will take place on January 24 at Loughborough Leisure Centre from 10am - 1pm, and on January 25 in Loughborough’s town centre market from 10am-2pm.

Abbi Tyson, Sports Development Officer at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport said, “Linked to Public Health England’s National campaign, we are delivering the One You campaign on a local level to support residents in the County, City and Rutland to improve their lifestyles.

“We are working with health partners across Leicester-Shire and Rutland to provide advice and information on local services to establish how well we really are and where we can make better choices for our health”.
