Change of venue

-

LOUGHBOROUGH Probus Club have moved from their old base in the Carillon rooms to a new venue, Junction23 restaurant .

The first meeting of the New Year was held on January 11 and it was reasonably well attended in spite of apologies from some members who couldn’t make it.

There was a pleasant meal, followed by a short talk from the president on the importance of favourable tides as well as good weather on the success of the D Day landings in 1944. The meeting closed at 2.15pm.

Loughborough Probus Club is on the look out for new members.

The club welcomes people, male and female, from the professions; at the moment we are a mix of teachers, university lecturers, engineers and business people generally.

We meet, as stated above, at Junction 23 restaurant, just off M1 Junction 23, on the A512, on the right hand side going towards Shepshed on the Ashby Road.

We meet on the second Thursday of the month, 12pm for 12.30.

There is a very modest annual subscription fee; we have a three course meal followed usually by a talk given by an outside speaker or a club member.

Why not come and join us, first as a guest then as a full member if you wish?
