The 2018 spring/summer programme gives staff, students and members of the public a glimpse of some of the diverse music, arts, film and comedy events taking place at the University over the coming months.

Brochure highlights include:

• Robin Ince’s first new stand-up show in three years; ‘Pragmatic Insanity’ on Wednesday, May 9

• Exciting National Theatre Live events – Julius Caesar (March 22) and Macbeth (May 10) – which will bring world-class performances to Loughborough

A mix of talks, discussions and music events will also be taking place as part of (re) composition – Radar’s commissioning programme for 2017/18.

Radar is LU Arts’ contem- porary arts programme that engages with academic research. The (re)composition project sees Radar working with academics from the Department of Geography to explore how music makes place, and place makes music.

Nick Slater, director of LU Arts, said: “We have a fantastic range of events on offer in our coming season and I look forward to welcoming students, staff and members of the community to some of them. We are thrilled to have secured such an impressive line-up of talent.”

Physical copies will be appearing on campus in Martin Hall, Edward Barnsley Building, the Students’ Union, halls, university departments’ and professional services’ receptions and in a number of arts venues and cafés in Loughborough town centre.
