Skittles match

-

MEMBERS and guests of Sileby Photographic

Society held their annual skittles match at a local hostelry on Monday, March 12, a popular event in the calendar allowing everyone to enjoy a fun evening away from photography.

Each took their turn on the skittle alley to prove or otherwise their throwing skills but, as has now become the norm, and despite careful concentration when taking aim, it seemed much easier to find the gap between the pins than to actually knock them down!

A tasty and traditional ‘pub grub’ supper comprising faggots, sausages, mushy peas and chips was served during the interval after which play resumed to complete the rounds.

Rosemary Blower and Brendon Glover achieved the highest individual scores but Brendon reigned supreme in the play-off between the two when deciding the winner.

As usual, this had been a great night and lots of fun.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 26, when visiting lecturer, Andrew Lings, will present ‘ The Edge of the World’.

Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome to attend the meetings which commence at 7.45pm for 8pm and are held at Sileby Community Centre.
