Shock findings of adultery survey

TWO of the most adulterous towns in the UK have been named as... Loughborough and Shepshed.

A new cheating map has been produced which shows that more than 1,000 people in Loughborough are looking to cheat, while more than 850 in Shepshed are also looking.

The statistics were compiled by mapping the postal data of adulterers on IllicitEncounters.com.

Out of 150 towns, Loughborough finished 21st, with 1.68 per cent of the population searching for an affair.

It’s actually an improvement on last year, when Loughborough was named the 15th most adulterous town.

Leicester is 33rd out of a possible 52 cities, home to just under 17,000 adulterers or 3.83 per cent of its adult population.

The most adulterous town in the country is Stratford in Warwickshire, while Wigan in Greater Manchester is the most faithful.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, said: “It’s progress for Loughborough, but it’s very slow and very steady.

“They still find themselves among the most adulterous towns in the entire country, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

“Unfortunately, its location makes the town ripe for infidelity.

“Within touching distance of Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and more, anyone looking to cheat in Loughborough is spoilt for choice.”

The index also details how many people are searching for affairs in other Leicestershire towns.
