Inspirations is the title of exhibition at Sock Gallery

-

PROFESSIONAL artist Ingrid Hill is exhibiting artwork at the Sock Gallery in Loughborough.

Ingrid is a full-time professional artist and tutor, splitting her time between working on her own paintings and tutoring weekly adult watercolour classes and regular workshops. She also regularly demonstrates to art clubs and societies.

The exhibition, ‘Inspirations’, will be held at The Sock Gallery in Loughborough Town Hall in March and April.

Ingrid enjoys walking in the countryside and is often inspired to stop and capture a moment with a sketch. Ingrid said: “It may be the sunlight filtering through the bright spring leaves in a bluebell wood, a walk along a quiet beach or simply a flower growing in the hedgerow that catches my eye. Many of my studio paintings are based on these sketches.”

She enjoys painting a range of different subjects including florals, farmyard animals, seascapes and landscapes, working in a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, pen and wash, oil and mixed media.

She has been particularly interested in creating textures in her work both with acrylics and watercolour with mixed media.
