A FRENCH film which has been a phenomenon in communitie­s across Europe is coming to Loughborou­gh for one night only on Friday, April 27.

Transition Loughborou­gh will be screening Tomorrow at John Storer House, Wards End, from 6pm-9pm. The documentar­y follows the journey of its co-producers as they travel the world visiting people who are involved in inspiring, practical projects that tackling the environmen­tal problems we face.

Caroline Harmon, a member of Transition Loughborou­gh, said: “Tomorrow is a hugely positive, affirming and inspiratio­nal film which explores the kind of creative solutions we’re seeking to implement in the town. Anyone who wants to make Loughborou­gh a better place to live is invited to come along and be inspired by projects from across the world.”

A number of local groups will have informatio­n stalls at the event showcasing projects and activities people can get involved in locally. There will also be an opportunit­y after the film to chat with other attendees about potential new activities in Loughborou­gh. Transition Loughborou­gh is grateful to the local Quaker’s group who are supporting the event. In addition, a limited number of tickets will be held back and given away on the door for a suggested donation of £4, although the donation is strictly voluntary.
