Housebuilder to host special Help to Buy Event

across two popular Leicestershire developments

-

Triple HBF 5 star housebuilder, William Davis Homes has announced plans to host a special Help to Buy event on two of its most popular Leicestershire developments.

On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April, William Davis Homes is inviting house hunters to its Buttercup Fields and Grange Park developments in Shepshed and Loughborough (respectively) to learn more about the Help to Buy initiative. Potential purchasers will be able to talk to William Davis Homes’ experienced sales consultants about the scheme and how it works, discover the full range of traditionally crafted homes available, view the showhomes and take mortgage advice from independent financial advisors who will be available throughout the weekend. In addition, William Davis Homes’ bespoke soft furnishings package is offered on all reservations.

William Davis Homes’ sales director, Stephen Rush commented: “There’s a common misconception that Help to Buy is only applicable to first time buyers but that’s not the case. It’s open to anyone looking to buy a new build home, as long as it is to be their only residence. We thought hosting a dedicated weekend would help house hunters to understand the scheme further including how it might enable them to afford a new home they’ve previously not considered.

“Buttercup Fields and Grange Park have a complete collection of homes, in two to five bedroom designs, so are ideal for those looking for their first home, something with room to grow or just that little bit easier to manage. Help to Buy means you can purchase a brand new home on these sought-after developments with just a 5% deposit, yet still own 100% of the property. It’s a fantastic way to help those previously restricted by large deposits required to secure a mortgage to make their next move.”

Available until 2021, Help to Buy is a government initiative created to help more people take their first or next step on the property ladder. William Davis Homes is registered to offer the scheme on all its developments, which includes five in Leicestershire, one in Worcestershire and one in Derbyshire. Key points for house hunters to remember about Help to Buy include:

• Open to all buyers seeking a new build home

• New home secured with just a 5% deposit

• A maximum of 20% of the purchase price is available

• Maximum purchase price is £600,000

• Equity loan must be repaid after 25 years

• The property purchased must be your only residence; it cannot be buy-to-let or a second home

Stephen added: “We find that a typical Help to Buy purchase can proceed within just six to eight weeks so we’re encouraging all house hunters looking for a new home for the spring to join us on 14th and 15th April to find out more.”

Recognised for their ‘best address’ locations, William Davis Homes developments offer excellent access to local transport connections, town or village centre amenities, schools and surgeries.
