County council reveals affected roads

A LONG list of roads in Charnwood are being targeted for roadworks and road restrictio­ns in coming weeks and months.

Leicesters­hire County Council Highways has agreed to a temporary traffic regulation order on numerous areas to include temporary imposition of no waiting or loading at any time, temporary prohibitio­n of through traffic, temporary speed restrictio­ns, and temporary prohibitio­n of overtaking to enable surface dressing to be carried out safely.

Temporary prohibitio­n of through traffic will affect - Woodhouse: Deans Lane. (25/04/2018); Seagrave: Berrycott Lane (14/06/2018) King Street (14/06/2018) and Church Street (14/06/2018); Newtown Linford: Slip Road from A50 to Whitwick Road. (Sunday works, date to be confirmed).

Temporary prohibitio­n of waiting or loading will affect - Loughborou­gh: Byron Street (26/04/2018), Ashleigh Drive

(05/06/2018), Cobden Street (05/06/2018), Colgrove Road (05/06/2018), Mountfield­s Drive (05/06/2018), Wallace Road (05/06/2018), Moira Street (06/06/2018), Russel Street (06/06/2018), Selbourne Street (06/06/2018), Wellington Street (06/06/2018), Factory Street (07/06/2018), Freehold Street (07/06/2018), Gregory Street (07/06/2018), Peel Drive (07/06/2018), Radmoor Road (07/06/2018), Rutland Street (07/06/2018), School Street (07/06/2018), Trinity Street (07/06/2018), Clarence Street , Meadow Lane, Nottingham Road, The Coneries and Ashby Road (Sunday Works, dates to be confirmed); Newtown Linford: Main Street and Joe Moores Lane (27/04/2018); Seagrave: Church Street, King Street, Green Lane Close, The Orchard (14/06/2018) and Green Lane (15/06/2018); Thurmaston: Church Hill Road (08/06/2018), Beverley Close, Charnwood Avenue, Checkland Road, Sandiacre Drive (11/06/2018) and Silverdale Drive (12/06/2018).

Temporary imposition of 30mph speed restrictio­n to affect - Newtown Linford: Joe Moores Lane (26/04/2018), Markfield Lane and Sharpley Hill (27/04/2018); Wymeswold: Wide Lane (30/04/2018).

Further details relating to this work will be notified on site about two weeks before commencing. All dates are weather dependant and subject to change.
