Pragmatic Insanity with Robin Ince
STRAIGHT off the back of finishing a recordbreaking tour with Professor Brian Cox, comedian Robin Ince will take to the stage in Loughborough next month with his new stand up show.
Pragmatic Insanity - the comedian’s first standalone tour in three years – is a clash of strange scientific ideas and discussion about some of Robin’s favourite artists.
The 90-minute show will cover creativity in both art and science, looking at work from the likes of English painter Stanley Spencer through to physicist Niels Bohr.
He will also pose questions about why we believe what we see, and why we believe what we believe.
Robin Ince is most notably known for presenting the BBC radio show The Infinite Monkey Cage alongside Professor Brian Cox.
He started his career by writing for The 11 O’Clock Show, which launched the future careers of other comedians such as Ricky Gervais and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Pragmatic Insanity will take place at Martin Hall, Loughborough University, on Wednesday, May 9, from 7.30pm. Please note this performance is only suitable for those aged 14 and above.
General tickets cost £15, concessions are priced at £10 and student tickets cost £5.
