When will politcians realise they work for us

-

HOW refreshing to read Nigel Smith’s letter last week regarding our local parliamentary representative.

It’s high time someone had the sense to speak out.

What on earth will it take to make local and national politicians realise that they work for us. It’s not the other way around, that we, the voting public, provides them with a cushy, well paid and pensionable job.

As Nigel rightly says, it’s all very well pandering to local groups and getting involved in local ‘causes’, but we have far more important issues to address and for sure, getting involved with a couple of has-been’s ( particularly of the opposing party ! ) campaigning against, exactly what the electorate voted for, is not the way to keep your seat Mrs M.

The nation voted to leave the European Union and it is a crying shame that all elected representative will not accept that as a fact.

I am sure that if any politician was elected with a miniscule majority, it would be accepted and the ‘elected’ would laugh all the way to the bank. They certainly wouldn’t allow a second vote… would they ?

The rebellious members, both of the Commons and the House of Lords, who are currently defying our courageous leader and her supporters, should be hounded out of office and banned from holding any position in the future, as it is no less than treason that they are instigating.

Out, means O.U.T. What is not clear about that?
