Disappointed to read that our MP is involved

- Name and address supplied

I AM always most disappointed when I read that once again Nicky Morgan MP is named as one of the leaders, or a member of a group, actively seeking to sabotage the withdrawal of UK from the EU (I have expressed my concern to her on a number of occasions).

In doing so she attacks not only her electorate who voted Leave but also her own party.

This band of MPs claim to be acting for the country but to me it seems more like arrogance (how dare members of the public think they know best).

After the referendum result I assumed that MPs of all parties would accept the decision and unite to try to obtain the most favourable outcome for our country (forlorn hope as it turned out).

Instead Remainers from all parties have sought to reverse the will of the people and to hinder the negotiations for withdrawal.

They have poured scorn on Leave voters and suggested they had neither the knowledge nor the intelligence to make a reasoned decision.

It is strange they cannot see that they are confirming one of the reasons so many voted to Leave, ie they are tired of the ‘we know best’ attitude of politicians and their contempt for the electorate.

There have been rumblings of discontent over EU membership for many years but politicians of all parties refused to heed the rumblings.

There are probably dozens of reasons why the electorate voted Leave. I would suggest that all those who have hindered and sought to derail Brexit be deselected at the next election.

I think the Lords will be punished for their interference in the future.

Some leaders of EU nations have expressed regret at the referendum result, but where were their voices when David Cameron tried to negotiate terms prior to it?
