Foxes rounded off their season with a 4-2 victory against Radcliffe Olympic Ladies to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.

Foxes raced into an early lead as, managers player of the season, Laura Steele unleashed a rocket from the edge of the box which found its way into the top corner.

Foxes made it two moments later, Rebecca Knight found herself with space inside the box and the goalkeeper was unable to keep her effort out of the net. Beth Bailey had a great chance to instantly reply, however her shot went agonisingly wide of the target.

Radcliffe were given a route back into the game as the referee deemed Harriet Simes to have fouled Honor Cantrell inside the box. Rania Ramadan stepped up and dispatched her spot kick into the stanchion to make it 2-1 at the break.

Rebecca Knight had her taste for goals and restored Foxes’ two goal advantage after the interval.

Knight was the first to react to the goalkeeper palming away an effort from range from Shauna Chambers.

Radcliffe halved the deficit again but instead of using this to their advantage, Radcliffe were pegged back again by a bullet header from centre half, and players’ player of the season, Jodie Bartle, who made her return after breaking her leg a few months ago.

The victory takes Foxes total to 21 wins from a possible 22, having only dropped two points all season in a 1-1 draw early in the campaign against Sheffield United Ladies back in August.
