LOUGHBOROUGH College is set to welcome the public to a major art exhibition launch showcasing the talent of around 150 of its students.

The event will feature live music, refreshments, a children’s area and even the chance to create your own masterpiece as ‘Jaw Drop’ fills an impressive gallery with specially selected photography, fine art, 3D and graphic design from the college’s budding artists.

“This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a range of outstanding artwork we have chosen to appear in the exhibition and to talk to the young artists who created it, alongside wonderful live music, refreshments and a dedicated children’s space. We’re also offering visitors the chance to create and display their own artwork,” said creative arts lecturer Daisy Lloyd.

The student-led exhibition features work from A-level art and photography students and from certificate and diploma art and design and creative arts students. “We are showcasing the very best of what we do at the College,” added Daisy.

Live music will be from acts including Phoenix, Toby Hates the 80’s, Who’s Meg? and A–banned-oned.

The ‘Jaw Drop’ art exhibition launches on Monday, June 11, and will be open to the public from 4pm-6.30pm at the college in Radmoor Road, Loughborough. Free car parking will be available.
