-

A LOUGHBOROUGH pub has reopened following a six-figure refurbishment, creating up to 15 new jobs.

As part of the investment, the Ring O Bells in Knightthorpe Road - owned by Greene King - has introduced a lighter colour scheme with tiled walls, signature pieces of furniture and contemporary flooring.

The bar has also been completely refurbished, with the introduction of a more local and national ales, plus world beers. The alfresco dining patio area has also been improved.

Tara Elliott, general manager at the Ring O Bells, said: “The Ring O Bells is at the heart of the Loughborough community, so we are excited to be able to offer a place where locals can enjoy a drink or meal in enhanced surroundings.

“The team and I were thrilled to welcome Charnwood’s deputy mayor, Coun Brenda Seaton, to officially reopen the pub!

“The opening was a real success, with great feedback from guests on the delicious menu and the fantastic interior. We also have lots of other events planned for the near future and look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks!”

The pub was officially reopened on Saturday, May 26.
