DOCTOR WHO: 7TH DOCTOR #1

THIS three-part series from Titan Comics sees Sylvester McCoy’s Seventh Doctor embroiled in a new adventure.

Operation Volcano is written by Ben Aaronovitc­h – who penned the episodes Remembranc­e of the Daleks in 1988, and Battlefiel­d in 1989 – and Andrew Cartmel.

The Doctor is joined by Ace in this short which finds the pair battling an unknown alien intelligen­ce in orbit around the Earth.

Doctor Who: 7th Doctor #1 is out now priced £5.20.

THE IMMORTAL HULK #1

MARVEL debuts three new ongoing comic series this week, featuring The Hulk, Deadpool and Doctor Strange.

But the Immortal Hulk is the one which really stands out, with Hulk told as a horror story, casting light and shade on Bruce Banner’s Jekyll and Hyde style relationsh­ip with the beast within.

Written by Al Ewing, with art by Joe Bennett, this is a unique and affecting tale which will make you think about the Hulk in a whole new light.
