ROBIN HOOD

Kedleston Hall, June 22

-

ROBIN Hood and His Merry Men will find themselves on the other side of the A52 as the production tours the UK this summer.

The outdoor theatre production will come to life amid the stunning scenery of Derbyshire’s Kedleston Hall as Chapterhouse Theatre Company tells the story of the prince of thieves during the outdoor event on June 22.

The building, which dates back to at least the year 1297, even predates Robin’s time, making it the perfect setting to watch the medieval tale play out in the open air.

The outdoor event is a brand new version of Robin’s story told by talented actors through the medium of sword play, song, music, dance and fitting medieval costumes.

Robin Hood will also find himself a little closer to home in Nottinghamshire during the tour, as Chapterhouse Theatre Company will also be bringing their nationwide tour to Southwell Minster in Southwell on July 4 and another at Wollaton Hall on July 19.

Those hoping to attend the shows are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy before the performance as well as a blanket or a low-backed outdoor chair to sit on during the show. Refreshments will be also be available to purchase.

Attendees are also advised that the event will still take place even in adverse weather conditions.

Adult tickets cost £16 while children’s tickets are priced at £10 with an additional booking fee. A range of different family tickets are also available for families, ranging in price from £46 to £56. A 10% discount will be offered to parties of 10 or more.

Tickets and more information about the upcoming outdoor productions can be found at nationaltrust.org.uk.
