Sponsored walk around the park

-

BUSHBY Lions and Mitra Milan Ramblers are inviting members and visitors to help raise funds for the work of the Bradgate Park Trust to increase the number of defibrillators and signage across Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood, as part of a project to make the estate a Heart Safe Park.

The groups are hosting a sponsored walk on Sunday, July 1, and this year want the event to be bigger than ever to help raise funds for this valuable project.

Each year nearly 50 members and families from the two groups visit Bradgate Park for their annual charity sponsored walk. The Bradgate Park Trust is one of the local charities chosen for support.

On the day members have the choice of 3.5 or five-mile routes around the site. Participants then follow the walk with a picnic within the historic Deer Park.

President of the Bushby Lions, Joshna Ramji said: “This is a fun packed event for the whole family, raising funds towards the park’s appeal to support their important Heart Safe Park project. We invite everyone to bring a picnic and we also have snacks and a drink to those who have pre-registered.”

The registration fee per participant is £10. Participants meet at Hallgates car park at 9.30am for the start at 10am. People can register by contacting Chand on 07590 518842 or Josh on 07977 247744.
