Auditions for new town theatre group

-

A NEW theatre group is forming in Loughborough - and they need you!

B!zzarre! - which was formerly Charnwood Community Theatre - will be performing an original version of Red Riding Hood in pantomime form in December this year.

Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Gorse Covert Community Centre, with two performance venues to be decided when rehearsals are underway.

Auditions will be held for the small cast of five adults; four male, one female, and stage crew will also be required - director, producer, stage manager, sound and lighting are all roles that need to be filled, so if your interest lies backstage rather than in the spotlight, the opportunity is there. They do ask that all applicants are over 18.

A spokesperson said: “This is a fledgling group, with a basis of four experienced actors and you have the opportunity to be in at the beginning and help us to shape it into something great.

“There are no joining fees, all we ask is a commitment to the project and a willingness to work hard and enjoy the process.

“The first auditions, which will include a read through of the script, will be held on July 19 in the Garden Room at Gorse Covert Community Centre.

“At this time also, discussions regarding backstage roles will be held.”
