Stuart Brady is on the money to raise the issue of inadequate facilities and transport links around housing. The ‘effluent’ challenge backing up around house building in Barrow upon Soar also needs an airing.
So yes, strategic planning, for housing, infrastructure, education, health & social care is crucial. The most shameful lack of strategic planning, the bull elephant in the room, is the lack of strategic planning to curtail the demand side for the above.
Since Stuart’s Labour Party, implemented a maximum UK population growth policy in 1997, the requirement for an unbiased and grown up debate on population growth, with all that entails, has been long overdue.
Please note that Nicky Morgan’s Tory party actually accelerated this assault on our green and pleasant land.
Ordinary Loughborough folk, as throughout the UK, continue to suffer the effects of this ‘Establishment’ irresponsibility.
So if it’s not Brexit, then lets’ make ‘runaway population growth’ the number one issue.
