LOROS mascot is in town and wants you to cheer him up!
THE LOROS Hospice Lionel is visiting Loughborough on a month long holiday but needs your help!
Lionel will be spending August at the LOROS children’s shop in Devonshire Square, Loughborough but he has left his best friend Archie, the chapel bear, behind so the LOROS team want people to bring their bears to the shop to keep him company, and to snap a selfie of your bears having fun together.
If you bring your favourite bear to the shop to have a photo with Lionel and a parent/grandparent shares the photo on social media with the hashtag #shoploros, you will get a little treat to say thank you.
Sam Glover, shop manager of the Loughborough children’s shop said: “Poor little Lionel is without Archie, and he is very sad. We’d really love you to bring your bear along to cheer him up!
“If you could let them sit together, so they can have a little chat, we’re sure that Lionel will be smiling once again.”
As part of the campaign, which aims to encourage shoppers to step outside their comfort zone and try buying from charity, the shop will also have other fun activities that children can take part in, including a colouring competition, with prizes up for grabs.
“At the end of the month, the winners of the colouring competition will be drawn and they will win a prize.
“We’re also looking forward to a visit from the Wriggly Readers from Loughborough Library, who will be reading some wonderful stories to the children and their bears on August 10 at 10.30am.”
