Charnwood Borough Council launches new look website

-

A NEW-LOOK Charnwood Borough Council website has been launched to improve residents’ online experience.

The site has been refreshed to make it easier for customers to find information, make payments, request services and report issues.

Coun Roy Rollings, deputy lead member with responsibility for customer services, said: “The website is absolutely key to providing good customer service these days and more and more people are using it to access our services.

“That’s why we decided it was time to give it a cleaner look and make it easier for people to find their way around.

“We have sought feedback from staff, customers and councillors and tested it to make sure it is easily accessible. We will be carrying out further work to improve accessibility later this year.”

Coun James Poland, lead member for strategic support, said: “We are putting more and more services online and that’s why the website needs to be as good as it can be.

“We hope customers find the newlook site easier to use but we’re always interested in feedback as its improvement is an ongoing process.

“We’ve worked with Loughborough-based Cuttlefish on the site and we would like to thank them for their support.”

Residents can access a wide variety of services on the council website, anything from reporting a missed bin or fly-tipping to paying council tax or submitting planning applications.
