LEVIATHAN #1

THE people behind this new series have already created two of the strangest and most compelling tales committed to print – Chew and The Manhattan Projects.

Now, writer John Layman and artist Nick Pitarra bring you Leviathan, the tale of the strange thing that happens to Ryan and his girlfriend Vivian when they go to the shops to buy beer.

Leviathan weaves a number of seemingly mismatched characters and subjects together and creates a fun story that proves to be surprisingly emotional. Issue #1, priced £3.35, is out now.

ADVENTURES OF THE SUPER SONS #1

WHILE DC is still struggling to create magic on the big screen, its comic series continues to go from strength to strength.

Its new 12-part Super Sons miniseries brings back together one DC’s best team-ups – Damian Wayne (Robin) and Jon Kent (Superboy).

This miniseries is set before the events of Man of Steel, the run which relaunched Superman under writer Brian Michael Bendis.

It promises an epic duel storyline, with Superboy and Robin finding themselves targets of an interstellar team of young rebels called the Gang.

Written by Peter J Tomasi, with art by Art Thibert, and Carlo Barberi, Adventures of the Super Sons #1 is out now priced £3.35.

THE RAID #1

THE Raid was one of my favourite films of 2012 and its sequel, whilst not as good, was still compelling.

Now you can enjoy a new story in the Raid universe, as Titan Comics expands the franchise.

Set during the events of The Raid 2, the miniseries finds Rama still in prison, and forming an uneasy alliance with a fellow police officer to survive.

It also promises to flesh out character back-stories.

The Raid #1, priced £3.35, is out now.
