The route visits a variety of places linked to the king, beginning on Highcross Street, where the Blue Boar Inn once sat and takes roughly one hour. The trail then visits historical sites, including Leicester Castle. Finally, it calls at Leicester Cathedral and the Richard III visitor centre, which is across the road.

DESFORD - 2.5 MILES GROBY POOL AND NEWTOWN LINFORD – 2 MILES

The return walk is via a different path - through Sheet Hedges Wood - before reaching the starting point at Groby Pool. St. Martin’s Church, Desford, is the starting point for this meadow walk.
