Black Swan BWA are only non Division One side into last eight of Kater 4 Cup

THE third round games of the Kater 4 Knockout Cup and second round games of the Shield Competitio­n were played last week in the Loughborou­gh & District Pubs and Clubs Darts League.

Seven division one sides won through to the quarterfin­al stage of the Kater 4 Knockout Cup competitio­n, with only the Black Swan BWA now representi­ng the other four divisions of the league after they beat Fennel Street Black Pearls. In the only all division one tie of the round Barrow Cons Wagg’s Gang beat the Bull and Bush Lions 6-3 whilst last season’s winners Bottom Railway BA, Royal Oak Shooters, Boat House Tap Tappers, Spot On MP, Three Crowns Ghostbuste­rs and Bull and Bush Gatecrashe­rs all progressed.

In the second round of the Shield Competitio­n, last season’s winners the Three Nuns Albion beat the Spot On Rejects, and the Three Nuns Exiles beat Crown Court. There were also wins for Fat Sam’s 26er’s, Peacock Arrows, Unicorn AW, Spot On Foxes and Tap and Mallet CD.

The draw for the quarterfin­als of the cup competitio­ns will take place on Thursday, August 16, at the Three Nuns, for games to be played on Thursday, August 30. For teams that are no-longer involved with the cup competitio­ns this Thursday is an ideal opportunit­y to re-arrange league fixtures that need to be played.

In a re-arranged game in Generous Briton Division Four the Top Railway Wansum beat the leaders Bottom Railway Leftovers 6-3.
