Vineyard opens for tours

-

A BURTON on the Wolds vineyard has started to run tours of its award winning venture.

Walton Brook Vineyard launched the tours earlier this summer and the next tours are later this month and in October.

A spokesman said: “They are a fairly laid back event. We start with a glass of wine then a walk round the vines and a general chat about what we grow, what we make and hopefully interesting information about the vineyard in general.

“We then head back to the seating area by the vines for a glass of each of our wines accompanied by some nibbles. Folks can then stay as long as they like. Children and dogs are welcome to come along, neither have to buy a ticket but neither are offered wine either but they’re free to dive into the nibbles though!

“We’re happy for people to leave their cars onsite and collect the next day.”

Tours planned at the moment are Saturday, September 22 at 5pm, Thursday, September 27 at 6pm, Friday, October 5 at 6pm, Saturday, October 6 at 2pm and 5pm, Sunday, October 7 at 1pm. Tours are £15 per (adult) person.

Tours are listed on the Walton Brook Facebook page where people can buy tickets and by contacting the vineyard directly via its website.
