Scenes from the Morley Street area and The Duke

THE recent Looking Back collections of the old Duke of York and the area surrounding, it such as Gordon Street, has led to these striking photos being sent in.

Roy Betts of Loughborough sent two colour pictures of the Nottingham Road pub.

One was taken in 1993 and the other in 1996 mid demolition.

Another regular Looking back contributor Mike Jones has also sent us some great photos from the collection of the Loughborough Reminiscence Group which aims to capture people’s memories of the area.

One is an aerial view of the Morley Street area before the houses were demolished and others of flooding down Gordon Street and Hartington Street.
