Withdrawal of team means change at top

-

IT’S all change at the top of Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborough and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League as a result of the unfortunate withdrawal of the Boat House Tap Tappers from the division. To be fair to all the rest of the teams involved in the division the results of the games against the ‘Tap Tappers’ for the second half of the season have been declared ‘null and void’ and the points for the division adjusted accordingly. It means that after last week’s results the Bottom Railway BA are now back on top of the division and lead the Bull and Bush Lions by a single point going into the title decider between the two teams in the final game of the season. Doug Porter hit a maximum for his Royal Oak DP side as they beat the Spot MP 6-3 to move ahead of them in to third place. In Wanty’s Division Two, Daz Beasly hit two maximums for leaders Unicorn AW as they beat the Arena Gladiators 6-3 for whom Simon Hardy also hit a maximum and John Monk a 171. The Unicorn now have a twelve point advantage over second place Bull and Bush who beat the Beacon 8-1 with the Gladiators in third. In S H Cox Division Three, the Spot On Reds retain their six point advantage despite losing 5-4 to the Old English Gentleman. Second place Crown Court beat the Three Nuns Albion 5-4, and Black Swan JS hang on to third place despite them losing to the Spot On Foxes. In Generous Briton Division Four the Peacock Arrows have also withdrawn at this late stage and the same principle as for division one has been applied. It means that leaders Bottom Railway Leftovers who beat the Tap and Mallet CD 7-2 last week are now four points clear of Top Railway Wansum who lost 5-4 to third place Generous Briton So Certs. Finally in Jim Kidger Division Five, Ryan Thacker hit his fifth maximum of the season and 111 and 114 finishes for the Black Swan BWA as they beat the Blue Ball JLA to return to the top of the division. The Royal Oak Old Uns are second with the Tap and Clapper Rojo’s third.
