British GT decider at Donington
CHAMPIONS will be crowned in the British GT Championship at Donington Park this weekend (September 22-23), as the circuit plays host to the deciding round of the series for the seventh successive year.
The two-hour race for one of the world’s most prestigious supercar racing series should be a dramatic contest.
There’s also a five car battle for the GT4 category title, with cars from BMW, Aston Martin, McLaren and Ginetta set to go head to head to decide honours here. In the supporting BRDC British F3 Championship, Jamie Chadwick, the British GT4 champion in 2015, is another to have made history this season, becoming the first female to win a race in the long history of Britain’s most prestigious single-seater category.
British GT is supported by the BRDC British F3 Championship, which sees Billy Monger make his competitive return to Donington Park, less than 18 months after his life changing accident. There is a 16 race timetable in total. Off-track, there will be supercar displays in the paddocks.
