Derby MORGAN and West are back on the road with their brand new magic show for kids.

As the winners of Pen & Teller: Fool Us, in which they impressed legendary magicians Penn and Teller, the duo are returning to Derby this month for a new familyfrie­ndly show at Derby Theatre.

Titled More Magic For Kids!, their latest show serves as the perfect family day out for the young and the young at heart as they dazzle and amaze with world class tricks and illusions that have already impressed magic lovers across the globe.

In addition to their breakthrou­gh appearance on Penn and Teller’s magician talent search, the twosome have also appeared at Edinburgh Fringe, Perth Fringe world, Adelaide Fringe and Buxton Fringe. The magic duo have also showed off their talents on ITV’s Next Great Magician and CBBC’s The Slammer.

Tickets for the October 31 shows at 11.30am and 2pm, which follow their previous sell-out stop in Derby, are priced at £12 or £10 for concession­s. Tickets can be bought from the box office on 01332 593939 or online at www. derbytheat­re.co.uk.

Derby SPONDON Methodist Church is set to host evening with Christian communicat­or, comedian and magician Tom Elliott this week.

Tom is both a dynamic comedian and magician who will be bringing a dose of family fun to Derby with his audience participat­ion-heavy show in Spondon on October 6.

Tom, an ambassador for the charity Compassion which releases children from poverty, interspers­es his comedic stylings with inspiratio­nal chats about his faith. His unique talents for mixing his faith and comedy has also seen him appear on the BBC.

He recently spent time talking to 900 teenagers in just three days at Telford and will soon take his Joyride Tour to theatres across the UK and Ireland.

The Spondon show, at the church on Lodge Lane North, is set to take place on October 6. Tickets cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door, with free entry for children under the age of 12, and include a ploughman’s lunch after the show. Tickets are available from Barry Liggett on 07790 291877.
