10cc back on the road

-

ROCK band 10cc are hitting the road.

The band, who first saw success with their self-titled debut album in 1973, will be swinging by Nottingham and Leicester next year as part of their latest UK tour led by co-founder Graham Gouldman.

Graham is fresh off a string of shows with Beatles legend Ringo Starr after hitting the road with his All Starr Band for a number of shows across both Europe and North America.

Graham will be joined on the latest tour by 10cc bandmates Rick Fenn, Paul Burgess, Keith Hayman and Paul Canning as they perform their most recognisable tracks, which include 11 top 10 hits over the past several decades and the number one singles Rubber Bullets, Dreadlock Holiday and I’m Not In Love.

Graham formed the group with Eric Stewart, Lol Creme and Kevin Godley in the early 70s after writing hits for The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits and The Yardbirds during the previous decade. He has also co-written with the late Kirsty MacColl and produced the album Pleasant Dreams by punk heroes The Ramones.

When Godley and Creme left in 1977, Gouldman carried on as 10cc with Eric Stewart for a further 18 years while Godley and Creme became hitmakers and in-demand video directors.

The band have sold more than 15 million albums across the UK.

10cc will play at Nottingham Royal Centre on March 2 and Leicester De Montfort Hall on April 30, 2019. Tickets are available from Ticketline.co.uk priced at between £38.30 and £42.30 including booking fee.
