LUCIFER #1
WE ARE in the haunting month of October, so what better time to unleash a new Lucifer comic series?
This tale of the Prince of Darkness takes place in Neil Gaiman’s new Sandman Universe and the once dapper, Bowie-esque handsome devil has a very new look.
Setting out to find the mother of his abandoned son, he instead finding himself inside a strange prison.
Cursed with borderline madness and old age, he’s kept at the mercy of a mysterious jailer.
Written by Dan Waters, with artwork by Max Fiumara, Lucifer #1 is out now, priced £3.35.
IRON FIST AXED
NETFLIX shocked many with its announcement that it was cancelling Iron Fist but, to be fair, it feels like a bit of a mercy killing.
After two seasons, which garnered largely poor reviews, it was only a matter of time before the plug was pulled.
But super-fans mourning the loss of Danny Rand will be pleased to hear that it’s not last they’ve heard of him.
Finn Jones, pictured, will continue to play the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although it’s yet to be confirmed exactly where.
HAUNTINGLY GOOD
IF you haven’t discovered it yet, The Haunting of Hill House is proving a huge hit for Netflix.
The genuinely unsettling series is based loosely on the Shirley Jackson book of the same title.
Jumping between two timelines, it follows a young family doing up Hill House, pictured, and that same family years later trying to live with what they experienced there.
Each episode has a different number of hidden ghosts, and not all are easy to spot.
Written by Mike Flanagan, it’s the perfect series to help you get your Halloween chills on.
