GET READY FOR GLOWORM

-

THE countdown is on for Gloworm festival 2019.

With just three weeks to go until the family event kicks off, here’s a round up of what you can expect when you head to Thoresby Park for a weekend of fun.

Now in its fourth year, the event on Saturday, August 17, will again offer up an array of entertainment.

Cbeebies favourite Mr Bloom will be back at the festival with his band, and also taking to the stage on the Saturday is Peppa Pig, Sublime Science and Dave Benson Phillips… complete with gunge tank! Top the day off with music from Take@That, Ultimate Coldplay and Nathan Hadley.

Sunday’s line-up is equally entertaining. Mister Maker returns to Gloworm for a show plus a meet and greet.

Rebecca McGlone, Gloworm festival organiser, said: “Mister Maker was such a huge hit last year. The families really enjoyed his stage show, and the meet and greet was a definite highlight for most. Our fans desperately wanted him back, so we’re delighted to have him at Gloworm for a second year running.”

Eye patches ready? Because the theme at this year’s festival is pirates, and what festival could have a pirate theme without Cook and Line from CBeebies Swashbuckle? They’ll be performing a laugh-out-loud, super silly show to make your little pirates giggle their pirate hats off! Not only that, but you’ll be able to salute them in a meet and greet too!

There’ll be more meet and greet opportunities from Hey Duggee as well as a performance, plus let’s not forget meet and greets with PJ Masks. To finish the entertainment on the main stage will be live music from a Jess Glynn tribute and Noasis.

Add free fairground rides to the fun, Paw Patrol, Ferne and Rory, animal guests from White Post Farm, the beach, swimming mermaids, live theatre, DJs, workshops, Playmobil zone, Fabland and much more and it’s a recipe for a fabulous family weekend. Only 20 per cent of tickets remain at glowormfestival.co.uk
