Race promoter George Clarke said he was really pleased with how the race had been received.

“The feedback on social media has been fantastic. The race was a sellout with 300 runners completing a challenging multi terrain course.

“Unfortunately I had to turn over 100 away and people are already asking when they can enter next year’s race.

“A big thanks to our sponsors and all of the marshalls and volunteers who did an outstanding job to make the event a big success.

“I will be changing a few things next year, as this is the first time this race has taken place and my first time directing, it has been a great learning curve.”
