ABSOLUTE CARNAGE: SCREAM #1

ANOTHER week, another comic book crossover event.

This time it’s Scream, one of Venom’s many offspring, who is being resurrected to join the Absolute Carnage event.

Symbiote god Knull is seemingly raising symbiotes from the ‘dead’.

Golden-haired Scream is woken from her eternal slumber by the call of Knull’s mysterious spiral, but to what end?

Written by Cullen Bunn, with art by Gerardo Sandoval, Absolute Carnage: Scream #1 is out now priced £3.35.

TO BOLDLY GO ...

QUENTIN TARANTINO has always said he’d retire after his tenth movie, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is his ninth.

So what type of movie will Tarantino end his career with?

It looks like it could be a toss up between a horror film, or a Star Trek movie – and that’s gone down well with star Karl Urban.

Urban – pictured – who plays Leonard “Bones” McCoy, was recently asked when the fourth instalment of J.J. Abram’s Kelvin timeline would arrive.

While he said he had no information about it, he understands the “basic concept of it”. He added: “Quentin Tarantino doing that film would be phenomenal.”

INFAMY, INFAMY...

IT’S fair to say The Terror, which followed the fate of the crews of HMS Erebus, and HMS Terror in the Canadian Arctic, was one of the best things on TV last year.

It was so popular, AMC has produced a second horror anthology series, The Terror: Infamy.

This series follows the plight of Japanese Americans at the outbreak of the Second World War. Among the cast is George Takei, above, who actually lived through the internment as a young child along with his family.

Currently airing in the US, it’s expected to hit UK TV screens later this year.
