First names revealed for the Town Hall pantomime

-

THE first casting announcements have been made for this year’s gigantic Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime at Loughborough Town Hall, with a trio of familiar faces due to set foot on the stage once again.

Following an award in the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019, producers Little Wolf Entertainment have announced the return of James Peake in the charismatic role of Dame Trott, after impressing audiences in his recent performances in Loughborough within the casts of Robin Hood and Beauty and the Beast.

Previous professional credits for James have included roles in the national tour of Babe, The Sheep Pig and as a regular performer as Dame at the Key Theatre, Peterborough in the years preceding his arrival at the Town Hall.

It has also been announced that Kristian Cunningham, who played the loveable Idle Jacques in last year’s Beauty and the Beast, will be returning to Loughborough where he will be taking on the title role of Jack.

Kristian’s previous professional credits have included Half Moon Investigations on CBBC television, alongside pantomime performances in both Bracknell and Camberley.

Off the back of her award-winning performance last year as Le Fool, for which she won Best Newcomer at the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019, Ella-Jane Thomas makes her return to Loughborough bringing a new twist to the comedy role of Simple Simone.

Robbie Kerr, venue manager at Loughborough Town Hall, said: “We’re hugely excited to be welcoming back all three talented performers to Loughborough ahead of this year’s fastselling Jack and the Beanstalk.

“Their performances last year were a joy to watch and kept thousands of people entertained throughout. To have this core group returning having contributed to many previous five-star reviews and critical acclaim excites me to see what they have in store this winter!

“The chemistry between the performers on stage was one of the highlights of the show and we look forward to them all returning to Loughborough to have audiences in stitches once more.”

Morgan Brind and Alan Bowles, co-producers at Little Wolf Entertainment said: “One of the highlights of producing any piece of theatre is putting together a first class team, and we are thrilled to be able to bring back some of the brightest lights from last year’s show, to be joined by some incredibly talented new faces, which we know audiences will love as well.

“The show is shaping up to be a gigantic spectacular, full of mess, mayhem and merriment, as we continue to find new twists and turns within the stories you love and bring our unique Little Wolf touch to the fabulous Loughborough pantomime.”

Loughborough Town Hall and Little Wolf Entertainment’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk is taking place from November 23 until January 5.
