Dynamo impress in Bank Holiday victory

-

BETVICTOR NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH EAST LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 3 CHASETOWN 1 LOUGHBOROUGH Dynamo maintained their unbeaten home record this season thanks to a 3-1 win over Chasetown on Bank Holiday Monday.

Goals from Ryan Robbins, Danny Gordon and Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson helped Dynamo on their way to secure a second consecutive league victory at the ADT Stadium.

Lee Attenborough made one change from Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Sherwood as Robbins replaced Steadman in the Starting XI.

Dynamo started the brighter of the two sides and had a good opportunity to take the lead within the opening seven minutes. Carl Sibson’s long ball found Fortnam-Tomlinson who’s low effort was saved by Chris Fletcher.

Loughborough continued to press for an opening goal and had another superb chance to do so just before the half hour mark. Luke Foster’s header was well blocked then Fletcher tipped Robbins’ close range effort over the bar.

However, it was the visitors who took the lead. In the 35th minute, Bradley Carr rounded Jay Alexander and slotted the ball into an empty net.

Dynamo responded and equalised just before the break. Robbins ran in on-goal and finished past Fletcher for his first of the season and the sides went in level going into half time.

Loughborough came quickly out the blocks at the start of the second half and deservedly went in-front in the 52nd minute. Gordon was found in acres down the left flank and he tucked the ball into the bottom corner.

Moments later, Dynamo scored a third, Fortnam-Tomlinson beat the offside trap and smashed past Fletcher to send the home faithful into delirium.

Chasetown grew back into the contest and Alexander made a number of quality stops to keep Dynamo two-goals ahead. The visitors tried to pull a goal back but Dynamo held on for an eighth home league victory in a row.
